SKETCHES AND DRAWINGS - 2008 - 2017
My sketchbooks are a collection of sketches, drawings, writings, calculations and reference fragments - a continuous recording and deciphering of often vague thoughts, desires and impressions. Sketches are rough hasty unfinished tentative delineations, preliminary studies and outlines without detail. Drawings are usually more intentional, often to scale, specific to material, image and function. The sketchbook becomes a visual record, and expressive language of seeing, understanding and thinking.
